Now I never did say it was very pretty!  Some day we do hope to build something more permanent, but until that time this is it guys!  Got some pictures of the inside as many ask how it's built.  Well, we built it mostly out of stuff just laying around..but you can see now how we put the stuff together....

Each end of the barn is supported with a telephone pole, with a telephone pole going between the 2 end poles.  4 inch round poles go from that top pole to the tops of the bales.  They rest on 1x8 inch boards..well ok..old fence boards if the truth be know.. I told you most of it was "stuff"!!  Across the 4 inch poles we laid rough cut 1x4's..these are old orchard supports..again  stuff just laying around not being used anymore...  The only things new were some of the spikes we used to hole the 4 inch poles to the telephone pole roof line and the door & doorway.

Many people who come visit just think it is a pile of straw that has been tarped.  Well I guess that is kind of right..just happens the straw pile has a hole inside filled with rabbits!

A link for more info on straw building with LOTS more links from it!
